William Rex Bostic went home to the Lord on the morning of July 7th. He was born June 1st, 1940 to the late William Bostic and Ufa Sigmon Bostic. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.
William worked at Dunbar Wholesale, he was employed at FMC during Vietnam assembling M113 personnel carriers and other machines for the war effort, was a renown Yamaha mechanic who built several competition motorcycles; one even winning a National event, and was a retired coal miner at High Power Energy and Cedar Coal.
William developed a love for being a musician with his best friend and brother-in-law Eugene Bailey and founded their band The Rambling Five with his nephew Jeff Burdette.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his children Lisa Casto (Ralph Casto), Rick Bostic (Heather Bostic), Crystal Derrick (Robbi Derrick), and Samantha Bostic, his 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his wonderful neighbor and friend Anthony Berry, and his beloved dog Bear. His burial will be at the Bostic Family Cemetery on Grapevine Road.
