William Corbett Sigmon Jr. "Bill" was born December 25, 1940, to Lola and William Sigmon in Charleston, West Virginia, and has been a gift to his family ever since.
Bill served in the Vietnam War in his early life and was stationed in Germany where he met his wife of 60 years Marliese. When he was honorably discharged from the Army, he and Marliese settled back in Charleston, West Virginia to raise their family. They had one son William Paul Sigmon. Bill worked as an ironworker and retired after 30 years.
In his free time, he was a member of the South Charleston Masonic Lodge 168, 32nd degree Scottish Rite of Kanawha Valley, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple Patrol & Chefs Club, and Royal Order of Jesters Court 111. He loved to fish, hunt, and go dirt racing with his family and friends all over the country.
He passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Marliese Sigmon, son William Paul Sigmon, granddaughter and her spouse Brianna and Jeffery Rosenberger, and great-granddaughter Nova Rosenberger.
Visitation services will be held Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Elk Funeral and Cremation Service in Charleston, West Virginia followed by a military funeral honors service at 2 pm at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Shriners Children's Hospital in his honor.
