Virginia Pearl "Ginny" Hamrick

Virginia Pearl "Ginny" Holcomb Hamrick, 87, of Dunbar, WV, passed away, December 14, 2018.

She was born December 13, 1931, to the late Henry and Mamie Hamric Holcomb in Widen, WV. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Hamrick, and was the last member of the Holcomb Family.

Ginny was a graduate and cheerleader for Widen High School, member of the Eastern Star Dunbar Chapter #133, and the "Sweet Adelines" for over 30 years.  She was retired after 31 years service to the Jackson Kelly Law Firm, Charleston, WV, and was a seamstress, who was beloved at the Jackson Kelly Law Firm.

"She was a beautiful lady that loved life and enjoyed being around her family more than anything"

She is survived by her loving family, daughters,  Jackie Ross (John) of Dunbar, Debra Hamrick of Nitro, grandchildren, Lindsey and Thomas, great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Madison, and Matthew.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00, Noon, Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV  25302, with Dr. Earl Cochran officiating. Private burial beside her daughter, Sheila, will follow, in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clay County. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time Noon at the funeral home.
