Ted Coleman Jackson

Ted Coleman Jackson, 95, of Elkview, WV, was called to his Heavenly home on December 23, 2020

Ted was born in Kettle, WV, the third child of G. O. and Beatrice Doll Jackson, on January 15, 1925.

Besides being preceded in death by his parents, he was also preceded by his loving wife of 62 years, Bertha Jackson and his daughter, Mary Ann Kennedy and 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Ted served in the U. S. Navy during WW II, upon his return home, he became one of the original members of the WV Air National Guard in Charleston, WV, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant.

Ted is survived by son, Paul Ted Jackson (Jean) of Fairdale, WV, 4 grandchildren, Chris Kennedy (Sara), Michelle Hartshorn (Everett), Stephanie Wood, Sarah Hill (David). 5 great grandchildren, Amber McCann (Michael), Coleman Kennedy, Jenna Kennedy, Josie Hartshorn, Emma Hartshorn, and step-great granddaughter, Jessica Wood.  Also his loving fur baby, Raven.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV 25302, with Pastor Lee Swor and Pastor Jeff Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, with Air Guard Honors. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
