Sheila Ann Skiles Coleman, 75, of Dunbar passed away on September 3, 2023. She was born in Charleston on November 21, 1947, to the late George L. Skiles and Carletta F. Tennant Skiles.
Sheila was a very feisty lady and there was never a dull moment when you were around her. She was proud of being feisty and always spoke her mind with a kind heart. She graduated in 1966 from Stonewall Jackson High School and never met a stranger and had a kind word to say about everyone. She deeply loved her children and loved to do crafts, and crochet, and loved Elvis Presley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Meda Lacy Durham.
Those left to cherish her memory include children: Dawn Coleman Fletcher and her husband Mark, John David Coleman, Michael Shawn Coleman and his wife Crystal; brother, Marvin L. Skiles and his wife Roberta; companion, John Hannan; grandchildren, Travis Fletcher and Tyler Fletcher and his fiancée Michelle Johnson, Michael, Haylee, and Hannah Coleman; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Austin McClung, Falicia Canterbury; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Zoey Canterbury, nephews, David and Stephen Starcher; niece, Melissa Skiles; great nephew, Joshua Harper, and several nephews and a niece from the St. Petersburg, FL area.
A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville 11 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, with Pastor Danny Kinder Officiating. Elk Funeral & Cremation Service, Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
