Ruby Mae Scarberry

On Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, Ruby Mae Scarberry, of Charleston, WV, went to be with the Lord.

She was born on December 06, 1947, in Kenova, WV to the late Carl Edward Scarberry and Mary Louisa (Staley) Scarberry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her brothers, Carl Ed Scarberry, Dennis Ray Scarberry and Rodger Dale Scarberry, and her sister Mary Ann (Scarberry) Simmons.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was always willing to help anyone family, friend, or stranger her door and heart were always open. Ruby loved to spend time with her family and her dogs. She was the type of women who loved unconditionally, and without judgment. Ruby was a rare gem, that will be greatly missed.

Left to humorously cherish her memory are her children; Jerry Ray Good Sr., Carla Jean (Good) Ogle and husband Antonio, and Deron E. Good: brothers; William Lee and Hughie Allen Scarberry, Joe Scarberry and Tony Scarberry: sisters; Brenda Richie and husband Bug and Edna Danford: grandchildren;Tahana M. (Good) Young and husband Phillip, Jerry R. Good Jr., Mary L. Good, Derek S. R. Jones and wife Rachel, Dennis R. Good, Joseph L. Good, Clarissa Mae Ogle, Antonio J. Ogle,and Caitlyn J. M. Ogle, and 16 great grandchildren.

The celebration of Ruby’s life will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, April 9th, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave, Charleston, WV 25302.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 (Noon)Friday.
