Ralph Tabor, of Foster, W.V., departed this life following a short illness on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
Ralph was born in Logan, W.Va., on July 29, 1952, the son of the late Gilbert Tabor and Madeline Lovejoy Tabor.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Arlie Asbury; granddaughter, Kristen; and grandson, Blake.
Ralph spent 43 years working in the coal mines of West Virginia, Virginia, Illinois, and Arkansas, retiring in 2014 and was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Foster; and his four-legged baby, Shamia; two sisters, Bonnie of Six Mile and Connie of Bastian, Va.; sons, Darren (Christen) of Marmet, David (Lisa) of Madison, Dereck (Sarah) of Okinawa, Japan, and Dustin (Stacie) of Madison; and very special friend, Chris Martin.
Ralph's grandchildren, Austin, Marshall, Carrie, Lucille, Evelyn, and Emmett were his pride and joy and were the loves of his life.
Ralph was a devoted husband and father and friend to many. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren, woodworking, hunting, and fishing.
We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and all others, too many to mention, of the MICU unit at CAMC Memorial Hospital that gave Ralph such wonderful and devoted care.
An outdoor service in Ralph's memory, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 2, at 2755 Rock Creek Road in Foster, W.Va. Anyone attending, feel free to bring a chair. Pastors Danny Williams, Chuck Ballard, and Steve Cox will officiate.
