Michael Dwayne Flowers

Michael Dwayne Flowers, 54 of Charleston, received his angel wings on Friday, March 8, 2019, with his family by his side.

He was born December 31, 1964, in Hampton, Virginia to the late Delbert and Alice Brown Flowers. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Debbie McCormick.

Michael was a Class of 1983, graduate from Stonewall Jackson High School and was a retired, 20 + year employee of the Charleston Marriot.

He loved fishing, making others laugh, and all animals.

Mike is survived by his brothers, Delbert Flowers, Jr. and his wife Jackie, Bryan Flowers and his wife Debbie, Ronnie Flowers and his wife Leatha, as well as several nieces and nephews and others.

Funeral service will be held at Noon, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV  25302, with Dr. Earl W. Cochran officiating. Private burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, WV.

Family will  receive friends from 11:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Michael’s memory to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier St., Charleston, WV  25311.
