Jimmy Harrison

Jimmy Harrison, 76, of Tornado, WV, passed away, September 16, 2021.

He was born June 21, 1945, to the late Treva Leo and Nellie Alice Haynes Harrison.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was also preceded by his wife, Sandra, and a daughter, Sara, and sisters, June Godbey, Nancy Rose, Jacquline Cobb, and Freda Hancock.

Jimmy was a former employee in Charleston, WV, and Roanoke, VA., former pastor of Walker Chapel Church, Tuppers Creek and founder of Independent Baptist Church of Ripley, and a member of Charleston Masonic Lodge #20, AF and AM, 32-degree member of Charleston Scottish Rite Bodies.

Jimmy is survived by his loving family, son, Matt and wife, Donnyell, daughter, Shelia Harrison (partner Jimmy McDaniel), grandchildren, Kaylee Harrison Knight (Ryan), Jamie-Alyse Shinault (partner Shawn Pittman), great grandchildren, Jacey and Jaylin Pittman, sister, Ginger Blankenship, brothers, David, Mike and John.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 22, at the Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave, Charleston, WV 25302, with Pastor Red Jarrett, burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, with Masonic Graveside Rites by Kanawha 20, Masonic Lodge, masks are optional during a 1-hour walk through visitation before the service.
