Bobby Arnold Hunt, 82, of Charleston, passed from this life on February 4, 2017.
He was born March 10, 1934, in Charleston, to the late Benny and Vivian Gibson Hunt.
He was also preceded by his wife, Ancil M. Hunt; sister, Jeanette Heidel; brother, Richard Allen Hunt.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps.
Bobby enjoyed hunting and gardening and taught his sons to hunt.
He was retired from Charleston Newspapers.
He is survived by his loving family, sons, Douglas, Jeff (Lesley), and Brian Hunt; stepmother, Irene DeHerrera; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Crystal, Nicholas, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Brody and Reagan; sisters, Joyce Taylor, Mary Lou Osborne, Beverly Burgess, and Patty Contreras.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 8, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, with Pastor David Bowen officiating. Private burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Ambler Ridge, beside his wife. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
